Fine Art Portrait to Paint

Where Photography Meets Legacy

Icon

Before I became a photographer, I studied fine art. I painted faces, forms, and light—learning how to see emotion in the shape of a shoulder, the line of a jaw, the way light rests on skin.

Back then, I took photos only to paint them. Photography was never the final step—it was a reference point for something deeper, something slower.

That practice is where this offering comes from.

This is a return to that original impulse: to pause time, to honour a moment, and to render it by hand.

The Process

Choose Your Image

After your portrait session, you’ll be invited to select one image that holds particular meaning—something that captures you, your story, or a season in your life.

Artistic Interpretation

Each portrait is hand-rendered in collaboration with a fine artist, guided by my creative direction.

We translate light, gesture, and feeling into brushwork—retaining the soul of the original image while elevating it into timeless form.

Heirloom Creation

These pieces are often commissioned to honour personal rites of passage: a pregnancy, a new beginning, a business born from purpose, a moment of strength, an era of healing.

They are also created for families—timeless portraits that go beyond the digital frame and into the story of who you are.

The Investment

Each piece is custom-quoted based on size and scope, with limited commissions available per season.

"How the world sees you is dramatically impacted by the way you understand and present yourself. A butterfly can't physically see its wings, yet it still flies. Without awareness, a butterfly might describe itself as a caterpillar who can fly. Paula is a living mirror — reflecting, identifying, and through a lens, showcasing your wings."
